Terms of Use
Last updated: 23 September 2026
These terms govern the use of the CookBooker mobile app and the cookbooker.mesmoustaches.dev website, published by Mes Moustaches Dev, a French simplified joint-stock company (SASU), represented by Thibault François (contact@mesmoustaches.dev).
By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
1. What the service does
CookBooker lets you save, organise, read offline and share cooking recipes. The app provides an automated import that analyses the public content of a web page whose address you supply, and, for premium subscribers, assisted weekly meal plan generation.
2. Account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity on your account.
- You agree to provide a valid email address and keep it up to date.
- You can delete your account at any time from within the app.
3. Free version and premium subscription
CookBooker can be used for free, with ads and some feature limits. An optional premium subscription removes those limits and unlocks subscriber-only features.
- The current price, the commitment period and any trial period are shown in the app and on the App Store or Google Play listing before any purchase.
- The subscription is purchased and billed by Apple or Google, and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling the subscription is done in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not inside CookBooker.
- Refund requests are governed by Apple's and Google's policies, which we do not control.
- For consumers in the European Union, by starting the service immediately you agree that performance begins at once and thereby waive the fourteen-day withdrawal right applicable to digital content supplied without a physical medium.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for unlawful purposes or in breach of third-party rights;
- bulk import, resell or redistribute third-party site content in breach of that site's terms or of copyright;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers, to other accounts or to data that is not yours;
- disrupt the service, in particular through high-frequency automated requests;
- post content in a Brigade that is illegal, hateful, defamatory or invasive of someone's privacy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these rules, with prior warning where circumstances allow.
5. Content and intellectual property
You keep all rights in the recipes and content you save. You grant us only the technical licence needed to host, back up, sync and display that content on your devices and, for recipes you deliberately share there, to the members of your Brigades.
Recipes imported from third-party sites remain the property of their authors. Importing is intended for your personal use and that of your private Brigades. CookBooker keeps the address of the source page so that it stays reachable.
The app, its code, its interface, its name and its logo remain the property of Mes Moustaches Dev.
6. Automated extraction: no accuracy guarantee
Recipe import and meal plan generation rely on automated processing by artificial intelligence. The result can be incomplete or wrong: quantities, units, temperatures, cooking times, allergen mentions.
Always check the original recipe before cooking, especially if you have a food allergy or intolerance. CookBooker provides no nutritional or medical advice.
7. Service availability
We aim for continuous service but cannot guarantee it. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, technical incidents or decisions by third-party providers. Some features, including import and meal plan generation, depend on external services and may change or be discontinued.
8. Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, for data loss resulting from a deletion you initiated, or for the use you make of recipes obtained through the app. Nothing in these terms limits the rights French law grants to consumers, nor our liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
9. Personal data
How we process your personal data is described in our privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The last updated date is shown at the top of this page. If a change is significant, you will be notified in the app. Continuing to use the service after that notice means you accept the change.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, please contact us at contact@mesmoustaches.dev so we can look for an amicable solution. Failing that, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge, or the European online dispute resolution platform. The French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the protective rules applicable to consumers.
